SIMULATION TRAINING AND AUTOMATION
There are plenty of courses that teach how to lock down a network and protect it from intruders, but what do you do if your network has already been breached?
How do you recognize that your network has been compromised?
What do you do if you encounter an active attack on your network and disconnecting is not an option?
What do you do after your network has been attacked?
At EADS NA Defense Security and Systems Solutions, Inc. (DS3) we feel it is not enough to teach your operators how to prevent an aggressor from breaching your network. We take the training a step further and teach the defender the actions to take during and after an attack.
EADS NA DS3’s Cyber Network Defense (CND) course is designed to teach your operators how to answer that question…to train the network defender on advanced concepts and techniques used to detect, recognize, identify, and mitigate network threats and vulnerabilities and how to report them. Using our proprietary Hands-on Training Simulators (HOTSIM), students operate and defend a network representative of the most common architectures. Upon completion, students will have demonstrated the ability to detect the intrusion, recognize the attack type, identify the risk/threat to vulnerable devices, mitigate that threat, and report the incident.
What allows this groundbreaking course to stand alone from other network security courses is our HOTSIM environment. Using customized attack tools HOTSIM places your network operators right in the middle of a cyber attack where they are challenged to detect the hacker, recognize the attack, research the risk, mitigate the threat, and report the incident.
To ensure an even more personal and realistic experience, each student will lead a team during the HOTSIM scenarios. The attack detection and responses are driven by the students while our experienced instructors provide guidance, oversight and scenario injects, thus ensuring a different learning environment with each course taught.
With cyber attacks on the rise and network terrorists reaching ever-increasing levels of sophistication, network operators must be ready to respond to a successful attack…our Cyber Network Defense course places your operators in the ideal environment to formulate that rapid response.
